What Is Topps Holiday Baseball?
Topps Ripped's product history page says the line was first released in 2016 as a Walmart exclusive, and describes it as a yearly, winter-themed release that blends the Topps Flagship design with snowy borders, photo variations and seasonal inserts. Topps describes the 2026 edition as putting "a festive spin on the familiar Topps Baseball design across a 200-card Base Set featuring veterans and rookies," with three formats that "each deliver a distinct collecting experience through format-exclusive seasonal content."
What Is in the 2026 Topps Holiday Baseball Mega Box?
The topps.com Mega Box page lists the configuration:
- Packs and cards: 10 cards per pack, 10 packs per box.
- Per box: 1 Autograph, Relic or Chrome Base Card.
- Sealed case: 20 boxes per case.
Topps Ripped's box guide says the Mega Box is "the exclusive home of the Holiday Relics, Holiday Faux Relics, and the wreath-shaped Oversized Die-Cut Ornament box topper," plus Glitter Holiday parallels and Mega Box-only Metallic parallels such as Candy Cane, Stocking and Holly. It also says Hidden Elf cards land at a rate of one per case in the Mega Box.
Mega Box vs Hobby Tins vs Advent Calendar
All three formats are listed on topps.com for October 21. The configurations below come from the three product pages, and the format notes from Topps Ripped.
| Format | Configuration (topps.com) | Listed per box or tin | Format notes (Topps Ripped) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Mega Box | 10 cards per pack, 10 packs per box | 1 Autograph, Relic or Chrome Base Card per box | Exclusive home of Holiday Relics, Holiday Faux Relics and the Oversized Die-Cut Ornament box topper; Glitter Holiday parallels |
| Hobby Tins | 59 cards per tin, 3 tins per box | 6 Exclusive Holiday Lights Parallels per tin | Exclusive Holiday Lights parallels; a Candy Cane-themed Die-Cut Ornament in one of every three tins |
| Advent Calendar | 5 cards per pack, 24 packs per box | 2 Exclusive Chrome Plaid Parallels per calendar | Exclusive Making the NICE List! die-cuts, Chrome Plaid, Holiday Plaid and Sticker parallels |
Topps Ripped describes the Advent Calendar as a two-panel hinged book holding 24 individually wrapped five-card packs, each with three base cards, a Holiday Plaid parallel and a fifth card that rotates through the calendar's exclusive content. Across the 24 packs it lists 18 Making the NICE List! die-cuts, two Holiday Variation Short Prints, two Chrome Plaid parallels and two Base Sticker cards. New to box formats? What to Chase in 2026 Topps Holiday Baseball
Base set and rookies
The Topps checklist PDF lists 200 base cards, H1 through H200. Card H1 is Bobby Witt Jr., H50 is Aaron Judge, H100 is Shohei Ohtani and H200 is Ronald Acuña Jr. By our count, 51 of the 200 carry the Rookie designation on the checklist, including Munetaka Murakami, Roman Anthony, Konnor Griffin, Jac Caglianone and Samuel Basallo.
Base Chrome Variation and parallels
Every base card has a Chrome counterpart: the checklist lists 200 Base Cards Chrome Variation cards, HC1 through HC200. Topps Ripped describes them as a Chrome version of the base set with Refractor and Sparkle tiers, plus Advent Calendar-exclusive Plaid parallels in colors from Green to Red. Our glossary explains the refractor finish.
On the base side, Topps says Metallic Gingerbread Man and Snow Days "make their debut in the 2026 Parallel lineup."
Holiday Variations
The checklist lists four tiers of 25 cards each: Holiday Variation Short Print, Holiday Variation Super Short Print, Holiday Variation Backs Short Print and Holiday Variation Backs Super Short Print. Topps Ripped describes them as retouched holiday details on the front or back of the card. Shohei Ohtani, Aaron Judge, Paul Skenes and Roman Anthony appear in more than one tier.
Inserts
- Hidden Elf: 25 cards on the checklist, HE-1 Aaron Judge through HE-25 Bubba Chandler. Topps describes the set as "five variations for each of five players," with a small elf tucked into a different location on every card. The 25 checklist entries name 25 different players, so the two do not line up, and we report both as written.
- Die-Cut Ornament: 20 cards, DCO-1 Jac Caglianone through DCO-20 Munetaka Murakami. Topps Ripped says they are shaped like a hanging ornament with a hole for a ribbon.
- Oversized Die-Cut Ornament: 20 cards, OO-1 to OO-20, the Mega Box box topper.
- Making the NICE List!: 25 cards, which Topps Ripped says are exclusive to the Advent Calendar. Shohei Ohtani, Aaron Judge, Cal Raleigh and Tarik Skubal each appear more than once, and Topps says each card highlights the statistic behind a player's best single season.
Relics and autographs
The checklist lists 45 Holiday Relics subjects, from Alec Burleson to Tarik Skubal, and five Holiday Faux Relics: Elf, Gingerbread Man, Mrs. Claus, Nutcracker and Santa Claus. Topps Ripped says the relics include autographed variations. The checklist PDF has no autograph section, while the Topps Ripped collector guide says the checklist includes both Base Autographs and Chrome Autographs. The Topps landing page links the checklist but no pack odds sheet, so we list no odds.
Breaking Topps Holiday on Stream?
If you run card breaks, describe the Mega Box the way topps.com does: 1 Autograph, Relic or Chrome Base Card per box, with no odds sheet to quote. The Oversized Die-Cut Ornament box topper and the one-per-case Hidden Elf rate are two more Mega Box details Topps Ripped spells out.
