What material are these YoYo strings made of?

Our Elite YoYo strings are made from 100% Polyester. Polyester is the industry standard for modern yoyo play because it is more durable, holds tension better, and is smoother on the hands than traditional cotton strings. It is perfect for unresponsive play and complex string tricks.

How often should I change my yoyo string?

It depends on how much you play, but a general rule is to change your string after about 30 minutes to 1 hour of continuous play, or whenever you notice it becoming frayed or losing tension. Playing with a worn-out string increases the risk of it snapping and your yoyo flying off (and hitting something!).

Do these strings work for all yoyos?

Yes, our strings are compatible with almost all standard yoyos, including responsive (beginner) and unresponsive (pro) models. They come with a pre-tied loop on one end, but you may need to adjust the length to fit your height before playing.
