2026 Topps Chrome Football: Release Dates, Box Prices and What to Chase
ChronicCardsKey Takeaways
- Topps lists November 18, 2026 as the release date for the 2026 Topps Chrome Football Value Box and Hanger Box, and December 2, 2026 for the Mega Box. Its launch pages for the Hobby Box and Jumbo Box do not list a release date as of October 20, 2026.
- The Hobby Box is 20 packs of 4 cards with 1 autograph per box at $439.99, and the Jumbo Box is 12 packs of 11 cards with 2 autographs per box at $789.99. Both are offered through Topps' EQL launch pages with a maximum of 2 per customer.
- On topps.com, the Mega Box is $79.99 for 6 packs of 7 cards (Topps says to look for exclusive X-Fractors), the Value Box is $44.99 for 7 packs of 4 cards (Red White and Blue Refractors), and the Hanger Box is $19.99 for one 14-card pack (Pulsar parallels).
- The Topps checklist runs 400 base cards: numbers 1 to 300, then a Rookie run numbered 301 to 400, with Lightboard Logo and Team Camo variations across both.
- Entering a Topps EQL launch is free, only one entry per person per product is allowed, and a selected entry does not guarantee an order.
Table of Contents
2026 Topps Chrome Football is in pre-order: Topps' landing page lists the Mega, Value and Hanger boxes as available for pre-order now, and its EQL launch pages carry the Hobby and Jumbo prices. Topps lists November 18, 2026 as the release date for the Value Box and Hanger Box and December 2, 2026 for the Mega Box, while its Hobby Box and Jumbo Box launch pages do not list a release date yet. Details verified as of October 20, 2026.
When Does 2026 Topps Chrome Football Come Out?
The dates differ by format.
- Value Box and Hanger Box: the topps.com product pages show "Release day: Nov 18" and a product release date of November 18, 2026.
- Mega Box: the topps.com product page shows "Release day: Dec 2" and a product release date of December 2, 2026.
- Hobby Box and Jumbo Box: these are offered through Topps' EQL launch pages, and as of October 20, 2026 those pages list configuration and price but no release date and no open or closed status for the entry window.
The pre-order wording is the same on all three topps.com product pages: pre-orders are scheduled to begin shipping ahead of the release date, delivery on that date is not guaranteed, pre-order items ship separately from other items, payment is captured at checkout and release dates are subject to change. The Topps release calendar had no Chrome Football entry on October 20, 2026.
Hobby calendars and checklist sites have posted their own Hobby Box dates, and they do not agree with each other, so we are not stating a Hobby or Jumbo date until Topps does.
2026 Topps Chrome Football Box Formats and Prices

Topps has not published pack odds on these pages, so we cannot say how often any insert or parallel falls. If you are weighing a hobby box against the retail formats, the difference here is that only the EQL listings (Hobby, Jumbo and the Sealed Case) state an autograph count.
How Do You Buy Hobby and Jumbo Boxes Through Topps EQL?
The Hobby Box, Jumbo Box and Hobby Box Sealed Case are offered through launch pages on launches.topps.com rather than the regular topps.com cart. As of October 20, 2026 those pages do not say whether the entry window is open, so check them directly. Topps' own EQL FAQ explains how a launch works. EQL is a third-party commerce platform that Topps uses to manage launches of limited products, and Topps says the point is to slow down bots and run a fair launch.
The steps, as Topps lists them: follow the link to the EQL entry form, log in to your EQL account or create one, provide shipping and payment details, verify your entry, then hit submit. You are not charged to enter and no hold is placed on your card. Only one entry per person per product is allowed. If you are selected you are alerted by email, followed by an order confirmation. Being selected does not guarantee an order, because payment can still fail, and Topps does not hold inventory when it does. Entries can be cancelled only while the release window is open, and discount codes and coupons do not apply.
What to Chase in 2026 Topps Chrome Football
Topps' description says the product pairs Chrome Rookie Cards of the 2026 Draft Class with active stars and NFL legends, and names Fernando Mendoza, Jeremiyah Love, Carnell Tate, Jordyn Tyson and Caleb Downs among the rookies to chase, alongside Josh Allen, CeeDee Lamb, Jahmyr Gibbs and Myles Garrett. The 49-page checklist PDF Topps links from its landing page (dated October 19, 2026; the launch pages link an October 15 version of the same file) fills in the structure.
Base set and variations
Base cards run 1 to 300, followed by a Rookie run numbered 301 to 400, so 100 rookies sit in the base set. Each of those 400 cards also has a Lightboard Logo Variation and a Team Camo Variation. Topps' landing page calls the Chrome brand renowned for its vibrant refractors, and the product pages call out Red White and Blue Refractors in the Value Box, Pulsar parallels in the Hanger Box and exclusive X-Fractors in the Mega Box.
Inserts
Topps says returning Chrome favorites Helix, Ultra Violet and Chrome Radiating Rookies join football-specific chases Game Genies, Kaiju and Tecmo, plus new additions Glass Canvas, Madden 99 Club and Super Bowl at Night. The checklist counts match that: Helix is 15 cards, Ultra Violet 20, Chrome Radiating Rookies 20, Game Genies 25, Kaiju 10, Tecmo 17, Glass Canvas 25, Madden 99 Club 6 and Super Bowl at Night 15. It also lists a 25-card 1991 Topps Football insert, five-card 2016, 2017 and 2018 Chrome Football sets, Activators, Ball of Duty, Day 1, Destiny, Fanatical, Future Stars, Instinct, Shadow Etch, Vibes and others, plus a single Lombardi Trophy Superfractor.
Autographs
Topps highlights NFL Honors Gold Shield Autographs. The checklist's Gold Shield Autograph set has five cards: Carson Schwesinger, Jaxon Smith-Njigba, Myles Garrett, Matthew Stafford and Tetairoa McMillan, and the same five players make up the Gold Shield relic set. Other autograph sets on the checklist include 1991 Topps Football Autographs, Base Variation Autographs, Chrome Legends Autographs, Chromographs, Class of 26 Autographs, Dual Autographs, Future Stars Autographs, Hall of Chrome Autographs, Ring of Honor Autographs, Rookie Variation Autographs and Tecmo Autographs. Topps' checklist note applies to all of it: checklists reflect the intended configuration at the time of production, and actual contents and odds may vary.
